India Batting
In the first one day international match of sri lanka’s India tour, sri lanka won the toss and gave India the star of batting first. Rohit Sharma and Shubhman Gill opened the batting from the Indian side and both the batsmen scored 143 runs in 4 balls in 19 overs for the first wicket. In the form of the first wicket, Shubhman Gill made 70 runs in 60 balls and LBW out on the ground of Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka. Uske baad batlebaji karne aaye Virat kohli ne rohit sharma ka sath kar kar aage ko aage badhaya lekin par score ke 173 runs aaye batle baazi kar rahe Rohit sharma kar 83 runs me 67 balls bowl kar dilshan madhushanka ka gand. India’s batting focus was on Virat Kohli, who scored his 45th ODI hundred in just 80 balls and scored 113 runs. For Sri Lanka, Kasun Ranjitha took 3 wickets, Dilshan Madushanka took 1 wicket, Chamira Karunaratne took 1 wicket, Dasun Shanaka took 1 wicket and Dhananjaya de Silva took 1 wicket. India scored 373 runs in 50 overs after batting first and gave Sri Lanka a target of 374 runs.
Sri Lanka Batting
The start of the Sri Lankan team was not good after chasing the target of 374 runs. Mohammad Siraj did not start Sri Lanka, but Avishka Fernando and Kusal Mendis were dismissed. Sri Lankan opener Pathum Nissanka scored 72 runs before Umran Malik got out. Apart from Pathum Nissan, Dhananjaya de Silva scored 47 runs and Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka scored 108* runs to take Sri Lanka’s final score to 306 but Sri Lanka lost by 67 runs. For India, Umran Malik took 3 wickets, Mohammad Shami took 1, Mohammad Siraj took 2, Hardik Pandya took 1 and Yazuvendra Chahal took 1 wicket. With this victory, India has made a 1-0 lead in the series of 3 ODIs. The second ODI match of this series will be played on January 12 at Eden Garden, Kolkata.
