BCCI registered its name in the Guinness Book of World Records

The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) registered its name in the Guinness Book of World Records on Sunday.

While tweeting from BCCI’s Twitter handle, Jai Shah, who is the secretary of BCCI, gave this information. Let us tell you that the BCCI got its name in the Guinness Book of World Records for seeing the maximum number of spectators in a single stadium in a single match. BCCI made this record in the final match of IPL 2022. The final match of IPL 2022 was played at Narendra Modi Stadium on 29 May 2022 at Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This final match of IPL 2022 was played between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans.

This final match of IPL 2022 was played between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans. In this match, Rajasthan won the toss and started batting first, they got 130/9 runs in 20 overs. Josh Butler scored the highest 39 runs and Hardik Pandya took 3 wickets by giving just 17 runs. Gujarat Titans batsmen didn’t have to work very hard to win the final. Shubman Gill scored 45, Hardik Pandya 35 and David Miller scored 32 runs to help Gujarat Titans win the trophy in their very first IPL edition. Hardik Pandya was adjudged Man of the match for his all-round performance.

Total 1,01,566 viewers were present in Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad (Gujrat) at the great occasion of Ipl final 2022. While tweeting from BCCI’s Twitter handle, Jai Shah, who is the secretary of BCCI, gave this information.
