Air India News: Shankar Mishra arrested for urinating on an elderly woman, arrested by Delhi Police.
While coming from New York to Delhi in an Air India flight, Shankar Mishra, the accused who urinated on an elderly woman passenger while drunk, was absconding, several teams of Delhi Police were searching for the accused. In such a situation, the last location of Shankar Mishra’s mobile was found in Bangalore. Shankar Mishra was not helping in the investigation and neither was his family. Due to which the Delhi Police kept on investigating more closely. And Shankar Mishra has been arrested from Bangalore.
How did Shankar Mishra get caught by the police?
As you can tell that the police team was behind Shankar Mishra, the accused who urinated on the elderly woman, the Delhi Police team has arrested Shankar Mishra from Bangalore on last Friday. The arrest took place on the night of 6 January 2023. Based on media reports, Delhi Police Deputy Commissioner Ravi Kumar Singh said that the accused Shankar Mishra had switched off his phone after the FIR was registered against him and was not helping in the investigation. Accused Shankar was in touch with his friends and family through social media or calls only. That’s why the police managed to reach him. According to media reports, the police have arrested the accused Shankar Mishra from Sanjay Nagar area of Bengaluru. Now he will be brought to Delhi.
Air India case: What is the matter?
Let us inform that last year on 26 November 2022, while traveling in an Air India flight coming from New York to Delhi, Shankar Mishra had urinated on a 72-year-old woman under the influence of alcohol. Shankar had also apologized to the victim woman after realizing his mistake, and prayed not to complain to the police. However, the elderly woman complained about the matter to the management of Air India and on the basis of this complaint, the police registered an FIR against the accused on January 4, 2023. The DGCA has become tough on the issue of such a shameful incident in an Air India flight and has issued a notice to Air India seeking a report in the matter.
Who is the accused Shankar Mishra?
Shankar Mishra is a resident of Mumbai. He is the Vice President of a company named Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo Company is a company associated with a multinational financial services corporation of America. The Delhi Police had booked Mishra under sections of sexual harassment and obscenity. Let me tell you that there was an allegation of obscene and misbehavior under the influence of alcohol. After which Air India had banned Shankar Mishra for 30 days. Air India had also filed a complaint against the accused at Palam Police Station in Delhi. However, when this matter caught fire, after catching fire, Shankar fled to Bangalore to avoid arrest.

Mishra was intoxicated. The lights were turned off after lunch in the flight. Mishra was drunk and was heading towards the bathroom but went to the seat (9A) of the drunk elderly lady, and unzipped his pants and urinated on her. Although Shankar Mishra has been fired by the Wells Fargo Company after this news caught fire.
